VIP contest submit: husband and wife met in the Marines (22 Photos)

Today's Post is one of the great user submit galleries submitted for the VIP Experience at Dallas. I will be posting the galleries over the next few weeks…and we will pick a winner at the end. submit: "I have recently got out of the Marine Corps after 8 years. I don't regret it for a moment. It is where I met my beautiful wife (who was also in the Corps) and made some of the best friendships I could have ever asked for. I have been on two deployments.  My buddies and me have been all over the world and had a great time. But at the same time we left our families behind. These men and women I served with are some of the greatest people, yes we had fun, but we worked twice as hard as we partied. No we are not ground troops. Our mission was different, our job was to get aircraft in the air to support the troops on the ground. We (as a team) worked tirelessly through night and day to make sure our brothers and sister come home safely. (and we were the best at it) I'm not sure if I will win this, but I hope at least a shout out is made for the air wing (the angles over their shoulders)."

Lisa Freeman lost her son, Matthew: These uniforms were not random. Instead, they're made from deceased service members. The project, called Matthew Bears, was born some time after she tragically lost her own son, Matthew Freeman, to enemy fire in Afghanistan in 2009 The goal is to create teddy bears for the children of lost servicemen and women out of the cloth of their uniforms. Any family that has lost a member in service can send the service member's uniform to Lisa Freeman to have it made into teddy bears for that service member's children, or to anyone related to that service member.
