User submit: Aerial combat photographer Senior Airman Matthew Bruch (41 HQ Photos)

Posted: 03 Jun 2013 09:11 PM PDT

"Long time reader, first time submitter. I'm an aerial combat photographer. Just took these photos in Guam. Hometown Phoenix, AZ. Stationed at Joint Base Charleston, SC at the 1st Combat Camera Squadron. I came into the AF wanting any job and got stuck in a photographer slot. In my short 3 years in the AF I have been in the backseat of multiple fighter aircraft, operating along side special forces, and worked/trained along side multiple foreign military units. All of these are extremely rare opportunities for someone so young in their AF career. Nothing special I have done, just have my job to thank for this." Check out more of his work here and more here

Things blowing-up are cool…except when it’s not in the game plan (10 Photos)

I got sent this link in an e-mail. I've been busy getting married, so my bad if you've already seen it. "A ship launch gone awry is taking the internet by storm as footage of the enormous vessel plunging into the harbour shows dangerous debris flying right at the camera. Posted on You Tube by Jason Bundoff, the impressive video shows the ship tumbling sideways into the water breaking off its sliders and creating a titanic-sized wave that engulfs the camera. The photographer shot the video with an intern at the shipyard and survived the ordeal with scratches and bruises." Again, my bad if everyone has already seen this one. Source
