User submit: 1035 EN Survey & Design, Bagram Air Field in Afghan (34 Photos)

My unit is the 1035 EN Survey & Design team here on Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. We got here in October and leave in June. We are technical engineers by trade but our work here has mostly consisted of AutoCad drafting design proposals for different work sites, and actually going out and surveying those designs in the field. Our biggest on going project has been the Ammo Supply Point which are the big berms you see in many of the pictures. They are designed to hold ammunition so that if Indirect fire hits nearby they do not cause a domino effect; i.e. it limit the explosion. There's quite a few of us that love The Chive in the unit so I know the guys are really gonna appreciate this when they see it. I've attached 30 photos, I gave you a few more than asked so you can pick and chose. Truth is, a lot of the cool stuff we aren't aloud to share so I tried my best to get some non-incriminating cool photos. I hope these work though and I look forward to seeing the theBrigade post! Stow FD raises money for American Lung Assoc. (23 Photos)

Stow Fire Department and raised over $5,000 dollars for the American Lung Association. We climbed up 41 stores in full firefighting gear weighing 60 pounds at 'One Boston Place' Boston Ma on Feb 1, 2014.  FF Lyons #19, FF Forton #53, FF Vickery #25, FF Swinimer #79, FF Beniot #50, FF Bertonassi #42, FF Cisek #78, FF Jakubek #76 all completed the climb while Keeping Calm and Chiving On
